PHOENIX, Jan. 5 (UPI) -- Movie star Steven Seagal told a Phoenix television station he was considering running for governor of Arizona.

Seagal, 61, told KNXV-TV in Phoenix this weekend he had talked about the possibility with Joe Arpaio, the influential and sometimes-controversial sheriff of Maricopa County.

Seagal said while he was considering a foray into politics, but also had other priorities on his plate.

Like Arpaio, Seagal said border security was the top problem facing the United States, the television station said.
