Tristan Rogers is leaving 'GH' for 'Y&R'

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 25 (UPI) -- Australian actor Tristan Rogers announced via Twitter he is leaving "General Hospital" to return to "The Young & the Restless."

Rogers, 67, has played "GH" character Robert Scorpio off and on since the 1980s. He began playing Colin Atkinson on "Y&R" in 2010, but left in October 2011 and returned to "GH."

"I'd like to thank [executive producer] Frank [Valentini] and [head writer] Ron [Carlivati] for great storyline that kept Scorpio true to himself," he tweeted this month. "I'm stoked on Colin's return to #YR in 2014 and delighted to once again be a part of the CBS Daytime family."
