Brian the dog dies on 'Family Guy'

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 25 (UPI) -- Brian, the Griffin family's dog, has died on the U.S. animated television series, "Family Guy."

The canine character was killed in a car crash in Sunday's episode.

TMZ said the dog has appeared in all 11 seasons of the show, but was replaced at the end of Sunday's installment by a new pet, Vinnie, who is voiced by former "The Sopranos" co-star Tony Sirico.
