LOS ANGELES, Nov. 22 (UPI) -- Orange is the New Black star Uzo Aduba says people should "move on" after U.S. actress Julianne Hough apologized for donning blackface for Halloween.

Hough sparked a media firestorm when she darkened her skin and dressed as Crazy Eyes, Aduba's black character, for a costume party last month.

"I think maybe it was an unfortunate event, but she apologized and I feel like we can all move on," Aduba told E! News on Thursday.
