Teresa Giudice pleads not guilty to additional fraud charges

NEWARK, N.J., Nov. 20 (UPI) -- "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Teresa Giudice and her husband, Joe, were arraigned Wednesday on new fraud charges in a Newark, N.J., federal court.

The couple pleaded not guilty to additional counts of bank fraud and loan application fraud, which were related to a 2005 mortgage loan, the Newark Star-Ledger reported.

The two charges this week were added to the 39-count indictment levied against them in July, the newspaper said.

The Giudices, who live with their four daughters in a mansion in Towaco, are accused of conspiring to fraudulently obtain millions of dollars in mortgages and other loans, and of hiding significant assets and income during their two-year bankruptcy proceedings, the Star-Ledger quoted authorities as saying.
