Maksim Chmerkovskiy to be a guest judge on 'Dancing with the Stars'

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 15 (UPI) -- Professional dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy is to serve as a guest judge on an upcoming episode of "Dancing with the Stars" in Los Angeles, ABC said.

Chmerkovskiy is to join Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli on the judges' panel Monday night.

"Not a stranger to expressing his strong opinion, Maksim is sure to unleash his unique brand of critique during the intense semi-final competition," ABC said in a release Thursday.

Chmerkovskiy competed with various celebrities as his partners throughout 14 seasons on the show, but announced in February he was leaving to pursue other opportunities.
