Steven Tyler to judge, perform at Miss Universe pageant

NEW YORK, Nov. 1 (UPI) -- Singer Steven Tyler, skater Tara Lipinski and supermodel Carol Alt are to serve as judges at the 2013 Miss Universe competition in Moscow, organizers said.

Also on board to help judge the Nov. 9 pageant will be supermodel Anne V, hair guru Farouk Shami, watch designer Italo Fontana, celebrity chef Nobu and pop singer Philip Kirkorov.

Tyler will perform during the NBC broadcast, as well.

MSNBC host Thomas Roberts and singer Melanie Brown are to serve as co-hosts of the pageant.
