'Agents of Shield' gets full-season order from ABC

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 10 (UPI) -- ABC says it has picked up its freshman U.S. drama "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." for a full season.

The announcement was made Thursday by Paul Lee, president of the ABC Entertainment Group.

The ratings hit stars Clark Gregg, Ming-Na Wen, Brett Dalton, Chloe Bennet, Iain De Caestecker and Elizabeth Henstridge.

Co-created by Joss Whedon, Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen, the series follows a group of brilliant government agents who battle evil and provide support to superheroes in the Marvel universe.
