LOS ANGELES, Oct. 8 (UPI) -- Former "Beverly Hills, 90210" actresses Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling are to co-star in and executive produce a new ABC Family series, People.com reported.

The longtime friends are to begin shooting "Mystery Girls" next month.

They will play former co-stars of a popular '90s crime-solving series who run a private detective agency, People.com said, adding the series is based on a story Spelling co-wrote.
