LOS ANGELES, Aug. 23 (UPI) -- Hip-hop artist Kanye West declared in a Los Angeles television interview his love for Kim Kardashian, the mother of his infant daughter North.

"I could have people saying, 'This is going to damage your credibility as an artist or as a designer,' and I say: 'I don't care. I love this woman," West said on Friday's edition of "The Kris Jenner Show."

"Or someone could say, you know, 'When the paparazzi surround you, how could you? ... Everyone knows you don't like paparazzi, but why would you, why would you be with this person?'" West said. "And I'm saying, I'm being with this person because, you know, I love this person. And she's worth it to me. She's my joy. And she brought my new joy into the world."

Jenner is reality TV star Kardashian's mother.
