Hugh Grant lands role in 'Man from U.N.C.L.E.'

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 12 (UPI) -- Actor Hugh Grant is to play the head of British Naval Intelligence in the upcoming film "The Man from U.N.C.L.E.," The Hollywood Reporter said.

"Snatch" and "Sherlock Holmes" filmmaker Guy Ritchie is adapting the 1960s TV show for the big screen. The movie version of the secret-agent series "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." will also star Armie Hammer, Alicia Vikander and Henry Cavill.

Production is to begin next month. It is set for release in 2014, the entertainment industry trade newspaper said.

Grant is best known for his work in the films "Cloud Atlas," "Love Actually," "Bridget Jones's Diary," "Four Weddings and a Funeral" and "Sense and Sensibility."
