NEW YORK, July 29 (UPI) -- ABC says it is not courting NBC's Hoda Kotb to fill one of the vacancies on its New York chat show "The View," contrary to rumors claiming it is.

The New York Post cited unnamed sources as saying "View" producers have reached out to Kotb's camp to see if she might be interested in joining the show, now that Elisabeth Hasselbeck has left and Joy Behar and Barbara Walters have announced their plans to depart soon.

However, the newspaper also said Kotb doesn't seem to want to leave her gig as co-host of the fourth hour of "Today" with Kathie Lee Gifford.

"Hoda loves her job at 'Today' and she's very happy laughing and scratching with Kathie Lee every day," an insider told the Post.

A representative for ABC also shot down the rumor.

"There's absolutely zero truth to this whatsoever," the network publicist told the newspaper.
