NeNe Leakes scoffs at wedding planner's lawsuit

ATLANTA, July 27 (UPI) -- A wedding planner's lawsuit claiming "Real Housewives of Atlanta" cast member NeNe Leakes owes her $1 million is without merit, a spokesman for Leakes said.

The spokesman told TMZ this week that wedding planner Tiffany Cook did not even do the planning for Leakes' lavish second wedding to Gregg Leakes in June. The spokesman said the lawsuit was "a baseless attempt to grab 15 minutes of fame."

Leakes says planner Tony Conway did the work but Cook said in her lawsuit she had indeed been retained to stage the event, which had a budget of $1.8 million.

The suit seeks nearly $890,000 in design fees alone plus $1,750 in air fare from Georgia to neighboring Florida.

The suit also asks for damages that brought the total demand to $2.5 million, TMZ said.
