Lisa Kudrow says there is no chance of a 'Friends' movie

LOS ANGELES, July 23 (UPI) -- Former "Friends" cast member Lisa Kudrow emphatically denies there were ever plans for a big-screen version of the classic New York sitcom.

Kudrow was asked about longstanding "Friends" movie rumors during a CNN interview to promote her new series "Web Therapy."

"I knew there wasn't ever a movie. There was never a 'Friends' movie. Ever. So I've always known it's not happening," she said, shooting down the rumors.

"The creators have put them to rest. NBC has. I don't know who else needs to say, 'It's really not happening.'"

Co-starring Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer, the show ran from 1994 to 2004.
