CHICAGO, July 16 (UPI) -- The Oprah Winfrey Network is paying troubled actress Lindsay Lohan about $2 million to star in an 8-part docu-series, TMZ said.

The cable network negotiated with Lohan for about four months before reaching a deal to document her efforts to remain sober and revive her flagging career once she leaves rehab next month.

As part of her contract, OWN will also provide Lohan with two paid assistants and a stylist, TMZ said.

Lohan, 27, was court-ordered to spend 90 days in rehab as part of her conviction for reckless driving and lying to police.

She checked into the Betty Ford Center May 3 but reportedly was unhappy with her treatment there and requested a transfer to another facility, which was approved last month.

The "Mean Girls" and "Freaky Friday" star's once-bright career has been eclipsed in recent years by her battles with drug and alcohol addiction, motor vehicle offenses and legal woes.

She was most recently seen in a guest role on Charlie Sheen's sitcom, "Anger Management."
