NEW YORK, July 11 (UPI) -- Production has begun on a new docu-series featuring the renovation of the 9,000-square-foot New Jersey home of hip-hop icon Rev. Run, DIY Network announced.

"This house has been the same for close to 13 years, so we are thrilled that it's going to get the facelift it deserves," Rev. Run, one of the founding members of the rap group Run DMC, said in a statement Wednesday. "I'm ready to roll up my sleeves and get this thing done. But, it will not be without conflict. Pray for the Reverend!"
