LOS ANGELES, July 10 (UPI) -- Twentieth Century Fox Television ordered a pilot based on Alan Moore and Kevin O'Neill's graphic novel "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen," TV Guide said.

Set in 19th-century London, the story follows a group of famous literary characters such as Captain Nemo, the Invisible Man, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, and Mina Harker, who band together to thwart a common foe.
