Kevin Jonas is 'excited, nervous' to be a first-time father

LOS ANGELES, July 10 (UPI) -- New Jersey-born pop star Kevin Jonas and his wife Danielle have confirmed they are expecting their first child.

"I was overjoyed," Jonas told E! News Tuesday via Skype about hearing his wife is pregnant. "It's been the most exciting thing in my life so far. I'm excited and I'm nervous."

Jonas did not reveal the baby's gender or anticipated birth date.

The eldest member of the Jonas Brothers pop music band married former hairdresser Danielle Deleasa in December 2009. They began dating in 2007 and are now the stars of their own reality series, "Married to Jonas."
