LOS ANGELES, June 16 (UPI) -- Writer-director-producer George Lucas won a Daytime Emmy Award in Los Angeles Sunday night for his animated series "Star Wars: The Clone Wars."
Carrie Fisher, a recovering alcoholic and drug addict who played the iconic role of Princess Leia in Lucas' original three "Star Wars" blockbusters, introduced the nominees in the Best Special Class Animated Program category, teasing Lucas and awards ceremony guest and rocker Ozzy Osbourne about the connection between doing drugs and creating great animation.
