LOS ANGELES, May 23 (UPI) -- Snoop Lion, the U.S. rapper previously known as Snoop Dogg, is to guest star on the new web version of "One Life to Live," producers said Thursday.

The hip-hop star will be seen playing himself on the show from Tuesday through June 6.

New 30-minute episodes of the soap opera premiere every Tuesday and Thursday via The OnLine Network at TOLN.com, the free Hulu.com service and to subscribers of Hulu Plus and the iTunes Store.

"On the series, Snoop Lion is set to visit the fictional town of Llanview to promote his new film, 'Reincarnated,'" a synopsis said. "Snoop ends up making a powerful impact on Matthew Buchanan [played by Robert Gorrie] and also appears in multiple scenes with new and returning favorites including, Robert S. Woods, Hillary B. Smith, Corbin Bleu and Kelley Missal."

Snoop previously made several cameo appearances on the soap before it wrapped up its run on ABC last year. He also produced and sang the new "One Life to Live" theme song, "Brand New Start" featuring IZA.
