Taylor Swift wins big at Billboard Music Awards

LAS VEGAS, May 19 (UPI) -- Country music star Taylor Swift was named Top Artist and her CD "Red" Top Album at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas Sunday night.

Swift also earned the honors for Top Female Artist, Top Country Artist and Top Billboard 200 Artist. She tied with Carly Rae Jepsen for the Top Digital Songs Artist title as well.

One Direction picked up the trophies for Top Duo or Group, Top Pop Artist and Top New Artist.

Gotye's "Somebody That I Used to Know" featuring Kimbra won the prize for Top Hot 100 Song, and Justin Bieber took home the statuettes for Top Male Artist and Top Social Artist.

Nicki Minaj won the awards for Top Rap Artist and Top Streaming Artist, while Rihanna scored the prizes for Top R&B Artist and Top Radio Songs Artist.
