LOS ANGELES, May 15 (UPI) -- Singer Nicki Minaj is leaving "American Idol" after one season on the judges' panel, UsMagazine.com said Wednesday.

"It's safe to say she isn't coming back to 'Idol,'" an insider told the celebrity news website, adding the rapper intends to concentrate on her next album, touring and celebrity endorsements. "She's OK with it. She had a great time but was only going to do one season anyway."

The news comes after Minaj's fellow "Idol" judge Randy Jackson announced his departure at the end of this season.
