Hunter Bell wins TV's 'Fashion Star'

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif., May 13 (UPI) -- Clothing designer Hunter Bell, a 32-year-old South Carolina resident, has won the NBC competition series "Fashion Star."

Bell beat out fellow finalists Cassandra Hobbins and Daniel Silverstein for the honor in last Friday's finale.

Her winning capsule collections will be carried online at Macy's, Saks Fifth Avenue and Express and in 50 Macy's locations and 15 Express locations in the United States. The collections were sold for a grand prize total of $3 million.

Jessica Simpson, Nicole Richie and John Varvatos served as celebrity mentors on the show.
