The San Francisco leg of the 24th annual awards took place Saturday, The Hollywood Reporter said. Earlier portions took place in New York and Los Angeles.
Melanie Brown of "America's Got Talent" and Spice Girls fame, presented Lambert with the Davidson/Valentini Award for his work to promote LGBT causes as an openly gay performer.
Lambert also won the award for Outstanding Music Artist, which he tied for with artist Frank Ocean. Lambert was honored for his album "Trespassing" and Ocean for "Channel Orange."
"Any Day Now," a drama about a gay couple's struggle to adopt a boy with Down syndrome in the 1970s, directed Travis Fine, took home the prize for Outstanding Film - Limited Release.
The San Francisco Giants took home the Corporate Leader Award and California Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom won the Golden Gate Award
