NEW YORK, April 23 (UPI) -- Reese Witherspoon has canceled appearances on "Good Morning America" and "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" in the wake of her arrest for disorderly conduct.

UsMagazine.com reported the cancellations Tuesday. The Oscar-winning actress had been scheduled to promote her new film "Mud."

She was arrested last Friday in Atlanta after she allegedly interfered during her husband Jim Toth's arrest for driving under the influence.

Witherspoon later issued an apology saying she had been drunk at the time and was "deeply embarrassed" for her behavior.

Comedian Jimmy Kimmel mined the actress' troubles for humor during his monologue on "Live!" Monday night.

"The police report says she asked the cop: 'Do you know my name? You're about to find out who I am.' Does that ever work? 'Do you know who I am?' is second only to 'Do you know who my father is?'" Kimmel said. "It's a bad question because the answer is either 'No' -- which is embarrassing -- or 'Yes, and you're going to jail.'"
