Hollywood intersection called Carol Burnett Square

LOS ANGELES, April 22 (UPI) -- The intersection of Hollywood's Highland and Selma avenues has been renamed Carol Burnett Square in honor of the iconic U.S. comedian.

Burnett, 79, is an author and actress best known for her sketch comedy series "The Carol Burnett Show," which ran from 1967-78.

"It's more personal than anything I've ever received," KABC-TV quoted Burnett as saying at the dedication ceremony last week.
