NEW YORK, April 17 (UPI) -- Whoopi Goldberg told UsMagazine.com she doesn't "give a [expletive]" about the future of "The View," the New York talk show where she has worked since 2007.

Rumors claiming Goldberg's co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck is going to be fired and anchor Barbara Walters is planning to retire from the daytime program have been circulating for weeks.

Panelist Joy Behar recently announced she is leaving the show at the end of the current 16th season to pursue other projects, while Sherri Shepherd is expected to remain on the program.

Asked at a party in Manhattan about all the drama surrounding "The View," Goldberg told UsMagazine.com: "Let me tell you this about 'The View:' I take a paycheck every other week. That's all I do. I could give a [expletive] what comes. I do my job -- I have a contract. That's where I stand. I don't give a [expletive.]"

Goldberg added she isn't involved in casting decisions.

"I don't care. That's not my job," she said. "My job is to show up and be cute by 11 o'clock and get the [expletive] off that show by 12. And that's what I try to do."
