'Y&R' actress Jeanne Cooper remains hospitalized

LOS ANGELES, April 15 (UPI) -- Actor Corbin Bernsen says his mother, "Young & the Restless" star Jeanne Cooper, remains hospitalized in Los Angeles, but her condition is improving.

UsMagazine.com said the veteran soap opera star, 84, was initially hospitalized in critical condition Friday. The nature of her illness has not been disclosed.

"Not much change for mom but heading in the right direction," Bernsen said via Twitter Sunday. "Embracing small steps and signs toward recovery. Wow!"
