Wendy Williams to star in 'Chicago' on Broadway

NEW YORK, April 15 (UPI) -- Talk-show host Wendy Williams will make her Broadway stage debut as Matron "Mama" Morton in the musical "Chicago," producers said Monday.

Williams is to play a seven-week limited engagement beginning June 25 at the Ambassador Theatre.

The production also stars Amy Spanger as Roxie Hart, Amra-Faye Wright as Velma Kelly, Adam Pascal as Billy Flynn, Raymond Bokhour as Amos Hart and R. Lowe as Mary Sunshine.

The revival, which opened in 1997, is the longest-running American musical in Broadway history, producers noted.
