'The Bible' tops DVD sales chart; 'Argo' is No. 1 rental

LOS ANGELES, April 15 (UPI) -- The History channel miniseries "The Bible" is the top-selling DVD and Blu-ray in the United States, Rentrak announced Monday.

Coming in at No. 2 on the DVD and Blu-ray sales chart for the week ending April 7 is "Lincoln," followed by "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" at No. 3, "Les Miserables" at No. 4 and "Wreck-It Ralph" at No. 5.

Rounding out the top tier are "Parental Guidance" at No. 6, "Life of Pi" at No. 7, "Rise of the Guardians" at No. 8, "Zero Dark Thirty" at No. 9 and "Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase One -- Avengers" at No. 10.

The No. 1 DVD and Blu-ray rental for the week ended April 6 is "Argo."

"Zero Dark Thirty" is No. 2, "Lincoln" is No. 3, "Skyfall" is No. 4, "Red Dawn" is No. 5, "Killing Them Softly" is No. 6, "Rise of the Guardians" is No. 7, "Wreck-It Ralph" is No. 8, "Taken 2" is No. 9 and "The Collection" is No. 10.
