LOS ANGELES, April 15 (UPI) -- The first kids episode of the American game show "The Price is Right" has been taped and is to air Thursday, CBS announced.

"Having the kids in this episode gave the show an exciting energy we've never seen in the studio before," executive producer Mike Richards said in a statement Monday. "The vibe was electric and it also brought out the kid in Drew [Carey], too!"

The special episode will feature children playing with their parents at Contestants' Row and participating in the show's famous prize games, including Let 'Em Roll, Secret X and Plinko, CBS said.

They will have the opportunity to play for prizes such as video-game consoles, a backyard trampoline, a pair of go-karts, an overnight zoo experience and a family vacation.
