OAHU, Hawaii, April 1 (UPI) -- Supermodel and TV personality Heidi Klum says she and her boyfriend saved her 7-year-old son and two nannies from drowning in Hawaii Sunday.

"We got pulled into the ocean by a big wave. Of course, as a mother, I was very scared for my child and everyone else in the water," Klum told Us Weekly in an exclusive statement Monday. "Henry is a strong swimmer and was able to swim back to land. We were able to get everyone out safely."

Klum was on vacation in Oahu with her bodyguard boyfriend, Martin Kirsten, and her children -- Henry, 7, Leni, 8, Johan, 6, and Lou, 3 -- at the time of the incident, the magazine said.
