STAMFORD, Conn., March 28 (UPI) -- Former "Jersey Shore" star Jenni "JWOWW" Farley is to play a recurring role on the Web version of the drama "One Life to Live," producers said Thursday.

The soap opera, which was canceled by ABC in 2011, is starting back up April 29 on Hulu, Hulu Plus and iTunes, thanks to The Online Network.

Farley taped her first scenes Thursday at the show's studio in Stamford, Conn. The reality TV personality plays Nikki, an employee at the trendy nightclub Shelter.

"As Shelter's newest barmaid, club owner Blair Cramer [played by Kassie DePaiva] knows that it's best to keep an eye on Nikki so things don't get out of control," producers said in a release.
