NEW YORK, March 3 (UPI) -- NBC's drama "Revolution" will return to TV on March 25 after a four-month break, in which writers tried "to re-attack" the series, the show's producer said.

Executive producer Eric Kripk was joined by J.J. Abrams, Jon Favreau and cast members at PaleyFest in New York on Saturday to talk about the upcoming season of the show, The Hollywood Reporter said.

Kripk said the long midseason break afforded writers "to re-attack" the series, which is set in a post-apocalyptic world without power.

"Creatively, I think it paid off," Kripke said, adding that the "second half is better than the first."

The second half of the season will consists of 10 more episodes and will have a quicker pace than the first half, Kripk said.

"We didn't move the story fast enough," he admitted. "We were treading water a little bit."

Kripk added that many questions viewers were left with at the end of the first half of the season would be answered in the second half.
