LOS ANGELES, Feb. 27 (UPI) -- Actress, writer and producer Tina Fey says she won't serve as host of next year's Oscars if asked by Hollywood's Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

Fey and Amy Poehler, her longtime friend and fellow "Saturday Night Live" alum, earned rave reviews when they headed up the Golden Globes telecast last month, while Seth MacFarlane received mixed reactions for his turn as emcee of Sunday's Oscars show.

"I just feel like that gig is so hard," Fey told the Huffington Post Tuesday about why she doesn't want to be an Oscar host.

"Especially for, like, a woman -- the amount of months that would be spent trying on dresses alone ... no way," she said, declining to say there is even a "one-in-a-million chance" of her taking the job.

"I wish I could tell you there was," she said.

Fey recently wrapped her seven-year, award-winning stint on the TV sitcom "30 Rock" and will be seen next month in the big-screen comedy "Admission."
