LOS ANGELES, Feb. 21 (UPI) -- Kristin Chenoweth and Seth MacFarlane are to perform a special Oscar ceremony-closing musical number at Sunday's show in Los Angeles.

"After the Best Picture award has been given, Seth and Kristin will perform a special number and we think it will be a 'can't miss' moment," producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron said in a joint statement Thursday.

MacFarlane is to serve as emcee of the show, which will honor the best in film for 2012.
