NEW YORK, Jan. 22 (UPI) -- First lady Michelle Obama rolled her eyes at John Boehner in Washington because he was quietly teasing her husband about why he quit smoking, a lip reader says.

President Barack Obama's wife made headlines Monday when she reacted to something the speaker of the House said at an inaugural luncheon.

Larry Wenig, an expert lip reader, told TV's "Inside Edition" he examined video of the exchange between the president and Boehner and determined Boehner, a known chain smoker, asked the commander in chief if he smoked a cigarette before the luncheon, then suggested the health-conscious first lady was behind her husband's kicking the habit three years ago.

Wenig quoted Boehner as saying, "Somebody won't let you do it," at which point Michelle Obama rolled her eyes.
