Best known as a presenter for MTV Asia and for her portrayal of barmaid Poppy Morales on TV's "Coronation Street," Haque had been performing in the West End production of "Privates on Parade" shortly before she died.

Her uncle, Syed Haque, told the Evening Standard she was "a loveable person and very beautiful."

"She was a true force of nature and her glorious performance as Sylvia in 'Privates on Parade' is one that will be remembered with great joy," the Michael Grandage Company said in a statement posted on Twitter. "A spirited lady, she lived life to the full, and her presence in the theater will be sorely missed. The company would like to dedicate the remaining performances to her memory."
