NEW YORK, Jan. 21 (UPI) -- U.S. comedian Rosie O'Donnell has dedicated a poem to, and shared photos of, her infant daughter Dakota online.

O'Donnell and her wife, Michelle Rounds, announced the birth of their adopted daughter earlier this month.

The couple posted recent photos of the sleeping baby girl via Twitter and Instagram, with captions such as "Yawn," "Perfection" and "Loving Life."

O'Donnell also posted a poem called "A Baby Born" on Rosie.com Jan. 16. It reads, in part:

"i have a new baby/ she smells delicious/cooing and blinking/ welcome to the world/life has on occasion so much joy/babies anchor me/ to souls here and gone ... "

O'Donnell and Rounds married in June 2012. O'Donnell also has four children with her ex-wife Kelli Carpenter.
