NEW YORK, Jan. 16 (UPI) -- U.S. television personality Kelly Ripa admits she uses Botox to maintain her youthful appearance at the age of 42.

The "Live with Kelly and Michael" co-host told Elle magazine she gets injections in her face to smooth out lines and in her armpits to minimize sweating.

"Every seven months or so, my eyelid skin rests on my eyelashes. So, I feel like it makes my makeup artist's life easier, and it makes my eyes look a little more open on TV, which is where I happen to work right now," Ripa told the magazine.
