Australia's Rebel Wilson to host MTV Movie Awards

NEW YORK, Dec. 21 (UPI) -- Australian actress and stand-up comedian Rebel Wilson is to serve as host of the MTV Movie Awards, the cable television network said.

The fan-voted prizes for the best films of 2012 are to be presented April 14. No venue for the event has been announced.

Wilson starred in this year's hit big-screen musical comedy "Pitch Perfect."
