NEW YORK, Nov. 30 (UPI) -- John Ratzenberger's publicist says the actor, producer and director has married his girlfriend, Julie Blichfeldt, on a beach near their home in Connecticut.

The wedding took place Nov. 6 at the same spot they got engaged last year. The couple began dating nearly four years ago.

"Forgoing the traditional tux and gown, both wore fur and kept the ceremony very intimate. The two started their honeymoon by heading north for a hunting trip," a Friday statement from Ratzenberger's representative said.

Blichfeldt, 46, met Ratzenberger, 65, through family. Both are avid outdoors enthusiasts, philanthropists and activists.

Ratzenberger is the only actor to voice a character in every Pixar animated film. He is also known for his iconic character Cliff on the sitcom "Cheers." He will appear on the new FX show "Legit" as a recurring character beginning in January.
