OAKLAND, Calif., Nov. 16 (UPI) -- Comedian Katt Williams was arrested in Oakland, Calif., after he allegedly hit a man on the head with a bottle on a tour bus outside a hotel, police said.

The victim, whose name wasn't released to the media, sustained a laceration to his head in the incident Wednesday night, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.

Williams, 41, was arrested for suspicion of assault.

No motive for the confrontation was reported.

The Chronicle said Williams' publicist did not respond to a request for comment on the arrest.
