NEWARK, N.J., Nov. 15 (UPI) -- Comedian and actor Kevin Hart has presented Newark Mayor Cory Booker with a $50,000 check for the Fireman's Charity Fund.

The Philadelphia native donated the money after seeing the destruction wrought by Hurricane Sandy in New Jersey last month, the New York Post reported Thursday.

He also left $50,000 worth of gift cards and donated supplies for disaster victims before performing his standup show at NJPAC, the newspaper said.
