NEW YORK, Nov. 9 (UPI) -- AMC and Netflix are working out a deal to revive the Seattle-set police drama "The Killing" for a third season, Deadline reported.

The cable network canceled the series in July, but has been talking to the online streaming and DVD rental company after hearing a strong third season pitch from executive producer Veena Sud.

If all goes well, the two companies would share costs and production would begin in February, Deadline said.

Starring Mireille Enos, Billy Campbell and Joel Kinnaman, the show would air on AMC first, then become available on Netflix.
