Obama booked for 'Tonight' visit

BURBANK, Calif., Oct. 22 (UPI) -- U.S. President Barack Obama has been booked as a guest on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," NBC announced.

The president, who is seeking re-election next month, is to appear on Wednesday's edition of the late-night chat show.

This will be Obama's fifth appearance on the show, his third since he became president. His most recent visit was on Oct. 25, 2011.

"The president will take to the 'Tonight Show' couch to discuss the home stretch of the campaign," NBC said in a news release.
