LONDON, Oct. 4 (UPI) -- A woman says she saw British singer Gary Glitter rape a 13-year-old girl in the late Jimmy Savile's BBC studio dressing room in the 1970s.

Glitter has been convicted of downloading child pornography in England and of sexually abusing children in Vietnam.

The Daily Telegraph said 11 women have come forward in the past week to say Savile, a BBC television presenter who died last year at age 84, sexually assaulted them when they were schoolgirls in the 1960s and '70s.

Karin Ward, a former pupil at the Duncroft boarding school for emotionally disturbed children

in Surrey, told ITV Glitter raped a girl in his dressing room at a BBC studio in London, while Savile groped another classmate nearby and an unidentified star, who still performs today, attempted to fondle her.

"I saw Gary Glitter have sex with a girl in Jimmy Savile's dressing room ... in that little alcove bit. I didn't see it completely but that's what was going on and nobody batted an eyelid," Ward told ITV in a documentary that aired Wednesday night. "Jimmy Savile had a girl on his lap and he had his hand up her skirt. The girl Gary Glitter was having sex with also came from Duncroft. I think she might have been not quite 14.

Ward did not name her assailant, but said his behavior "frightened me and freaked me out."

"He humiliated me in front of everyone in the dressing room by saying something really unkind about my lack of breasts," she told ITV.

"The BBC has conducted searches of its files and has not found any record of allegations of misconduct by Jimmy Savile during his time at the BBC," the Telegraph quoted the British broadcaster as saying. "We are now working with police forces to help them investigate these matters. We are also keeping our searches for information under review as and when new information comes to light."

Glitter and the unidentified alleged third assailant denied the claims against them, the newspaper said.
