LOS ANGELES, Sept. 18 (UPI) -- The fan-voted People's Choice Awards for film, TV and music are to be handed out at the Nokia Theater L.A. Live Jan. 9, CBS announced Tuesday.

Mark Burnett will return as executive producer of the telecast, which will serve as the kick-off to the 2013 awards show season.

"I am so thrilled and fortunate to be once again producing this year's People's Choice Awards," Burnett said in a statement. "Passionate and devoted fans are what make us successful and it is an honor to give them a chance to celebrate their favorites in entertainment."
