NEW YORK, Sept. 6 (UPI) -- Alec Baldwin's daughter Ireland says she and the U.S. actor laugh about the time he called her "a rude, thoughtless, little pig" and the audio ended up online.
Ireland, 16, is Baldwin's daughter with his ex-wife, actress Kim Basinger.
The embarrassing incident, in which Baldwin left an irate voice-mail message for his daughter after he couldn't reach her, happened in 2007.
Baldwin temporarily lost visitation rights with Ireland, but won them back after publicly apologizing for his behavior.
"The only problem with that voice-mail was that people made it out to be a way bigger deal than it was," Ireland told the New York Post's Page Six Magazine. "He's said stuff like that before just because he's frustrated.
For me, it was like, 'OK, whatever.' I called him back I was like, 'Sorry Dad, I didn't have my phone.' That was it."
Ireland said she and her dad even considered lampooning the incident for an Internet comedy sketch.
"We almost did something funny on YouTube, of me calling him and yelling at him," she said.
