LOS ANGELES, Aug. 28 (UPI) -- Chris Elliot, Ashley Williams and Michael Trucco are among the guest stars booked to return to the U.S. sitcom "How I Met Your Mother" this season, CBS said.
Bob Odenkirk and Joe Manganiello also are expected to appear on the show, which is to kick off its eighth season Sept. 24.
"We're so proud of -- and flattered by -- the caliber of guest stars who appear on 'How I Met Your Mother,'" executive producer Craig Thomas said in a statement Monday. "These are all amazing actors that we're just huge fans of. The fact that they wanted to do the show even once? Amazing. The fact that they all still like us and wanted to come back? Even better!"
The show's ensemble includes Josh Radnor, Jason Segel, Cobie Smulders, Neil Patrick Harris and Alyson Hannigan.
